Earigami is a small CFA registered Scottish
Fold
cattery located in Central Virginia. I fell in love with the Scottish Fold
breed several years ago; and I am even more enthralled by owning and breeding
them. I have owned cats all of my life but I have never encountered any breed
with a disposition as sweet as the Fold.
If you are not familiar with the breed, Scottish Folds are medium-sized well-padded cats. They are easily recognized because of the folded ears and large eyes full of expression. Folds are generally a very quiet and easy-going feline and I often refer to mine as “speedbumps with fur.”
Scottish folds come in two ear types: folded and straight.
It is not known until three to four weeks of age which kittens in
a litter (if
any) will fold. There is a substantial price difference between folded and
straight eared folds. If you are looking for the wonderful and sweet disposition
and are not keen on the folded ear, you may wish to consider purchasing a
straight eared fold (or two). Folds are very addictive and most people find
themselves getting a second one.
I am a responsible breeder. The care and well-being of any cats and kittens that I own and/or sell is of the utmost importance to me. I carefully screen potential owners and try to make the best match possible between the personality of the kitten and that of the new owner. If you are interested in owning an Earigami cat or kitten, you must be willing to provide a safe, loving and indoor environment. For details, please view my contract of purchase.
I will be more than happy to answer any questions that you may have as you go through the process of being owned by a Scottish Fold (you don’t actually think we humans own the cats do you?).
